I'm Laura, and I’ve been a photographer for over 21 years. In that time, I’ve made mistakes, learned hard lessons, and grown in ways I never imagined—but all of it has led me right here, to Clearly Captured Studio: a full-service portrait experience designed to help you preserve your story beautifully.

I’ve walked the path of building a business from scratch, burning the candle at both ends—juggling marketing, bookkeeping, and all the behind-the-scenes hustle that no one really sees. That’s why I love helping other entrepreneurs show up confidently through personal brand photography. I know what it means to pour your heart into something, and I want your audience to see that, too.

But my heart is also deeply rooted in family. As a wife of 30 years, a mom to three incredible adult children, and “Hunni” to four sweet grandbabies, I know how fast life moves. My hallway is lined with photos of my children and grandchildren growing up—images that make me smile every time I walk by. Those photos are treasures, and I want to help you create the same for your home.

At Clearly Captured Studio in downtown Amarillo, I offer curated portrait sessions for personal branding, children, and families. From beautifully printed wall art to heirloom albums, unique products, and digital negatives, every detail is crafted with intention—so your memories don’t just live on your phone, they live in your hands and on your walls.

A few personal things about me…
I love Jesus and am forever grateful for the grace and redemption I’ve found in Him. I’m constantly learning and growing in my faith, and I’m surrounded by a strong, encouraging circle of friends.
I’m also a lover of thunderstorms, lake days, mountain trails, and the vastness of the ocean—reminders of how big our God is and how beautifully He’s woven the details of our lives.
